Mezontle Mexican Grill, a family-owned and operating restaurant that has been serving the Torrance community since it first opened its doors as Toluca Mexican Restaurant in 1994 and in 2016, we changed our name to Mezontle. Mezontle, pronounced Mess-own-tlay, meaning the heart of the Agave. Our mission being, what the Mezontle is to the agave, our customers are to us, our customers are the heart of our business. Unfortunately, in 2020 we faced unforeseen challenges and encountered a devastating fire that led to a three year closure. We are excited to announce we have risen from the ashes and proudly reopened in 2023.

Since we reopened, we are committed to maintaining the same Mexican dishes and maintaining the same traditional flavors since we first opened Toluca in 1994. We strive in using the finest ingredients, locally sourced, with little to no preservatives. Our food is freshly prepared made to order. We do not cook with lard or MSG. Our salsas are homemade in house, our beans are cooked with canola oil, our Chile Rellenos are fire roasted to be perfectly charred for a smokey flavor. 

We are truly grateful for the unwavering support and love we have received from our community throughout the years. Your continued patronage has allowed us to reopen our doors, and we couldn't be more thrilled to welcome you back. As we look to the future, we will continue to offer homemade Mexican food, warm hospitality, and an unforgettable dining experience for generations to come.
